Cultural Exchanges: Music between Latin America and Europe
The proceedings of the first two conferences of the network are currently being edited and will be published during the second semester of 2018. Together they will embrace around 40 original papers, dedicated to different topics of the musical exchanges during the postwar period (among them migration and exile, cultural politics, tours by orchestras and soloists, music festivals, and musicological production) from different theoretical and methodological perspectives. The authors are scholars from Austria, Germany, Holland, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Uruguay, Mexico, and the United States.
The conference proceedings “Cultural Exchanges: Music between Latin America and Europe, 1945–1970” (Rio de Janeiro, 2015) will be published in the Series of musicological symposia at the UFRJ.
The proceedings of the conference “Trayectorias / Cultural Exchanges: Music between Latin America and Europe, 1945–1970” (Berlin, 2017) will be published in the Series Ibero-Online at the Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut (IAI; Ibero-American Institute) Berlin.
